Loco Carnaval Sundays: The Hottest Sunday Night Series at Somewhere Nowhere NYC

March 29, 2026 · The Best Parties

Sunday nights in NYC just got a serious upgrade.

Loco Carnaval Sundays at Somewhere Nowhere has quickly become the go-to weekly for anyone who lives for proper house and techno - the kind of lineup you’d expect from a festival main stage, not a Sunday night rooftop.

What Is Loco Carnaval Sundays?

A weekly Sunday night party at Somewhere Nowhere NYC - the rooftop venue in Chelsea that’s been quietly hosting some of the best electronic music nights in the city.

Loco Carnaval brings international headliners alongside resident selectors for a late-night session that runs well past midnight. The format is simple: one main room, one great DJ, and a crowd that actually cares about the music.

The Lineup - Spring 2026

This isn’t your average Sunday residency. Look at what’s coming:

March 29 - Pan-Pot

The Berlin techno duo needs no introduction. Known for their sets at Berghain, Awakenings, and Time Warp, Pan-Pot brings that raw, driving energy that’s become the gold standard in techno.

April 5 - Shimza

South Africa’s biggest electronic export. Shimza’s Afro-house sound has taken him from Johannesburg to Tomorrowland to Coachella. His NYC sets always sell out - this one won’t be different.

April 12 - Nathan Leong b2b Lohrasp Kansara + Cristian Arango

A back-to-back session between two selectors who know how to read a room, plus Cristian Arango bringing the Latin-infused house that fits the Carnaval theme perfectly.

April 19 - Oscar G + Lohrasp Kansara + Ben Arsenal

Oscar G is a Miami house legend - co-founder of Murk, Funky Green Dogs, and a 30-year career that’s shaped the sound of American house music. This is a rare NYC appearance.

April 26 - Lohrasp Kansara, Benny, Valentin, DJ Osa

The residents take over. These are the selectors who set the tone every week - deep cuts, unreleased edits, and the kind of track selection that rewards the real heads who stay late.

May 31 - Awen (Hybrid)

Awen brings a hybrid live/DJ performance to the rooftop - blending live instrumentation with electronic production in a way that transforms the space. This is a different energy from the usual Sunday selector sets, and that’s exactly the point.

The Venue

Somewhere Nowhere NYC sits at 112 West 25th Street in Chelsea.

It’s a rooftop space with an open-air dance floor, bottle service sections, and a sound system that hits different at 2 AM. The venue has two levels - the main rooftop and a more intimate indoor area.

The vibe is upscale but not pretentious. Well-dressed crowd, good drinks, and music that’s the actual focus.

What You Need to Know

Why This Matters

NYC has no shortage of weekly parties. Most of them are forgettable.

Loco Carnaval is booking the kind of talent that normally headlines warehouse events and festival stages - and putting them in an intimate rooftop setting where you’re 20 feet from the DJ booth.

If you’re into house and techno and you’ve been looking for a proper Sunday session, this is it.
